Yesterday when at a local Starbucks getting my normal morning brew I turned around and noticed that two US Army Sargents’ were in line. When the cashier gave me my total I told her to please add their order to mine, as I turned and smile at the two gentlemen.
Both of the men just looked at me for a moment before saying thank you. I told them that it was the least I could do for all that they have or will do and I thanked them for their service.
The lesson learned from this is that WE as a nation do not thank our service men and women enough. If a simple three-dollar cup of coffee caused a strange look form them then what would a real thank you do.
The next time you are in line at a store and you see a Service Member standing with a soda or coffee in his hand. Say a small thank you and buy if for them. It is the least we can do. Don’t forget that in a month that solider could be in the line of fire defending your freedoms.
GOD BLESS OUR MILITARY AND THANK YOU FOR ALL THAT YOU DO!
