My Daughter turned 18 last Saturday. With much excitement she went down to the local DMV office for her driver's license. When there the women behind the counter asked her if she would like to register to vote my daughter said yes, but I will have to bring back the form. She told the women that she needed to talk with her Dad.
Later that day my Daughter come to me and asked what party should she put down. Living in California there are many to choose from. I told he it was not that simple. I told her that the party that she aligns herself with should be the party that holds her core values and beliefs. With out any hesitation my daughter said, "I am pro-life and that is the party that I want to be a part of."
Not being a one issue Conservative I went on to ask my Daughter what some of her other beliefs were. She told me that she was pro-life, pro-family values, low taxes and legal immigration only.
With pride I watched as my Daughter checked off the Republican box on her voter registration form.
